VitalBody Sample Course Materials

Let’s Get Started

This sample lesson introduces shaking — one of the five fundamental movements taught in the VitalBody course. Vibration has the effect of loosening things up — a bad thing for your car but a great thing for your body. Shaking is the single most effective movement you can perform to keep your body loose, maintain flexibility, and prepare it for activity. It can be done anywhere, anytime, and you will feel the difference in less than a minute.

It is through shaking your body that you begin the process of realigning your structure and improving your posture while compensating for the sitting and repetitive movement so prevalent in modern society.

VitalBody begins by shaking your body to loosen it up. This releases the sense of contraction caused by stress while facilitating your human instinct to stretch. This random movement will be demonstrated in the video below. Understand that it can be performed in infinite varieties and no two people do it the same.

Discover:

Twisting

This video explains the basic twisting movement as well as introduces the idea of creating distance, direction, and velocity when moving your body. Subsequent videos will provide more advanced variations of this simple exercise.

You will learn:

As you use these exercises, you will notice that your movements tend to vary as your body's requirements change from day to day. This is an expected outcome. By allowing the human instinct to stretch to guide your body when you perform shaking and spinal twisting, you facilitate greater movement throughout your body.

Twisting Variations

Once the ability to spinal twist is mastered, there are endless variations that can be added to facilitate loosening up your body. Start by slowly moving side to side while you twist. This is the concept of incremental movement, i.e., varying the movement slightly as you perform it. Incremental movement is critical in daily life, as it compensates for the repetitive movement involved in daily tasks such as sitting and working at the computer.
